More than just a camera

Why I DO what I DO

I love meeting new people, learning how different industries work and documenting moments that would otherwise be forgotten. One week I could be photographing a theatre production, the next filming a wedding or creating content for a business. That's what keeps every project exciting.

I never wanted to limit myself to just one type of photography or filmmaking. I enjoy the challenge of stepping into completely different environments, understanding how they work and documenting them honestly.

MY Journey

  • Internship

    My journey began with an internship at Meas-Maz Network, founded by BBC Radio Sheffield presenter Becky Measures. It gave me my first experience working with clients and confirmed that a career in the creative industry was exactly what I wanted.

  • Silver Treehouse Productions

    Inspired by that experience, a group of us launched Silver Treehouse Productions. We began producing weddings, promotional videos and commercial content while gaining valuable experience working with real clients.

  • Graduating College

    During college, I was awarded the Best Technical Skill Award for two consecutive years. It recognised my passion for the technical side of filmmaking and photography.

  • Expanding My Experience

    As my confidence grew, so did the variety of projects I worked on. From festivals and live events to commercial productions, every opportunity helped me develop both creatively and professionally.

  • Award-Winning Cinematography

    I was honoured to receive the Best Cinematography Award from Sheffield Hallam Film Society for my work as Director of Photography on a student short film.

  • Graduating University

    Graduating from Leeds Arts University marked another important step in my journey. It gave me the chance to refine my skills and develop my own approach to visual storytelling.

  • Building Higgo Digital

    Everything I'd learned along the way led to the creation of Higgo Digital. Today, I work across weddings, commercial projects, live events and behind-the-scenes productions.

  • Expanding Into Theatre

    More recently, I've expanded into theatre, working as a sound engineer and technician. It's given me another perspective on live production and strengthened the skills I bring to every project.

My Approach

Every project is different, but the way I approach them always starts with the same three principles.

  • Every project starts with a conversation, not a camera. Taking the time to understand your story means the final work feels personal and genuinely reflects you.

Understand

  • Once the vision is clear, I focus on capturing the moments that matter naturally. Every project is approached with a cinematic eye while adapting to whatever the day brings.

Create

  • The story isn't finished when filming ends. Every image and film is carefully refined to create something you'll be proud to look back on for years to come.

What started as a passion for filmmaking has grown into a creative business built around honest storytelling. Today, I work across weddings, behind-the-scenes productions, live events, documentaries and commercial content, creating work that feels authentic, cinematic and true to every project.

Ice Hockey

keeping active

Ice hockey has been a big part of my life for years. It's taught me teamwork, resilience and how to stay calm under pressure, qualities I bring into every project I work on.

Whenever I'm not working, you'll probably find me outdoors with my two golden retrievers, Bonnie and Willow. They're the perfect excuse to grab a camera and head out exploring.

I love discovering new places, whether it's across the UK or further afield. Every trip gives me fresh inspiration and a different perspective that I bring back into my work.
